Angela M. Cox is a judge of the Florida 4th Circuit Court. Her current term ends on January 2, 2029.

Cox won re-election for judge of the Florida 4th Circuit Court outright in the general election on November 8, 2022, after the primary and general election were canceled.

Cox was appointed to the court on November 26, 2014, by Governor Rick Scott.[1]

Prior to joining the circuit court, she was a judge for the Duval County Court (Division P) in Florida. She was re-elected without opposition in 2014.[2][3][4]

Cox earned her B.S. from Tennessee State University in 1995 and her J.D. from the University of Memphis School of Law. Prior to her judicial career, Cox was an assistant state attorney in the Florida Fourth Judicial Circuit.[5]

The general election was canceled. Angela M. Cox (Nonpartisan) won without appearing on the ballot.

2016

Florida's 20 circuit courts all had seats up for election in 2016. Of the 151 seats up for election, 125 saw only one candidate file for the election. The unopposed races were canceled and the sole candidates were automatically elected. Of the 26 opposed races, only 10 saw more than two candidates file. [6]
