The Simplified Juries in Family Court Act did not make the November 8, 2016 ballot in Arizona as an initiated state statute.
The measure would have aimed to simplify the jury process in family court. It would have provided that juries consist of five jurors of either two men and three women or three men and two women.[1]

Path to the ballot
Initiative proponents needed to collect 150,642 signatures by July 7, 2016, to land the measure on the ballot. Supporters did not, however, submit signatures by the deadline.[2]
