Primary: He was defeated in the primary on August 26, 2014, receiving 18.5 percent of the vote. He competed against Kenneth A. Barlow, Jr. and Tina Caraballo. [1][2]

McChesney earned both his B.S. and J.D. degrees from the University of Florida in 1995 and 1998, respectively.[3]
