Brad Jacobs

Brad Jacobs is a judge of the Clark County Circuit Court in Indiana. He was elected on November 4, 2014, for a term that expires on December 31, 2020.[1] Jacobs' father, Buzz Jacobs, was the first judge to serve as a judge for the Clark County Circuit Court. He served for three consecutive terms between 1982 to 1996.[2]

Career
Jacobs was an attorney in private practice for 15 years, and has worked on many cases in the Clark County Circuit Court.[2]

Noteworthy events
Three Indiana county judges involved in altercation, two judges shot
Judges Andrew Adams and Brad Jacobs were shot on May 1, 2019, following an altercation in a White Castle parking lot in Indianapolis. They were taken to nearby hospitals and were reported to be in stable condition. Judge Sabrina Bell was also involved, although media did not identify her as sustaining any injuries.[3] Indianapolis police said they saw no evidence the judges were targeted because of their positions.[4]
On October 11, 2019, Indiana Commission on Judicial Qualifications suspended Adams without pay for 60 days and Jacobs and Bell without pay for 30 days, effective immediately.[5]
