C.J. Garan
C.J. Garan was a 2014 judicial candidate for the Cochise County Justice Courts in Arizona.[1] He ran as an independent and was defeated in the general election.

Garan ran for election to the Cochise County Justice Courts.
General: He was defeated in the general election on November 4, 2014, after receiving 10.0 percent of the vote. He competed against Del Thola, Jacob Kartchner, and Bruce Staggs.

Education
Garan holds an associate degree from Oakton Community College and a bachelor's degree from DePaul University. At the time of the 2014 election, he was a master's degree candidate from DePaul University, studying taxation.[3]
Career
Garan served with the U.S. Air Force from 1957 until 1961. He served for 32 years with the Cook County Sheriff's Police Department. After his retirement, he served part time for eight years in rural villages and counties. Garan has worked as court security for the Cochise County Superior Court and as court security and bailiff in the Benson, Wilcox and Bowie Justice Courts. He has served as constable in Precinct 3 from 2006-2010. Garan has also worked as a defense investigator for the Cochise County Public Defender's Office.[3]
