Carlton Middleton was a 2014 Democratic candidate for District 12 of the Hawaii State Senate.

Middleton graduated from West Potomac High School and went on to earn a degree in politics from Kapiolani Community College in 1984.[1]

A long time resident of Honolulu, Hawaii, Middleton has been active in his community. He has attended and participated with the Chinatown/Downtown Neighborhood Board Thirteen since February 1990. He was elected to the Chinatown/Downtown board and has served from March 2005 to March 2010. On July 3, 2008, Carl was elected Chinatown/Downtown Neighborhood Board Secretary.[2]

Elections for the Hawaii State Senate took place in 2014. A primary election took place on August 9, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was June 3, 2014. Incumbent Brickwood M. Galuteria defeated Carlton N. Middleton in the Democratic primary, while Chris Lethem was unopposed in the Republican primary. Galuteria defeated Lethem in the general election.[4][5][6]
