Goldman ran for election to the Second Judicial Circuit Court.
Primary: She ran unopposed in the Democratic primary on March 18, 2014.
General: She was defeated in the general election on November 4, 2014, after receiving 47.1 percent of the vote. She competed against William C. Hudson. [1][2][3] 

Evaluations

The Illinois State Bar Association and participating attorneys rated Cassandra A. Goldman as Recommended for election in a 2014 poll.[4]

Education

Goldman earned her undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of Texas at Dallas and her J.D. from the Columbus School of Law.[5]

Career

At the time of her election, Goldman was a state's attorney for Wabash County and an adjunct faculty member for McKendree University. Prior to her first term as state's attorney in 2008, Goldman worked in private practice for nine years. She was a sole practitioner with her own practice for 4 of those years. During that time, she also served as public defender for Wabash County for four years.[5]
