Charles C. Nebel is a judge for the Alger/Schoolcraft County Probate Court in Michigan.[1] He was appointed to the court in March 2009 and his term expires on January 1, 2019.[2]

Education

Nebel received his undergraduate degree from Albion College in 1983 and his J.D. from Detroit College of Law in 1986.[3]

2010 election

Nebel was elected to the court, defeating challenger Dan Beaton with 51.92 percent of the vote in the general election on November 2, 2010.[2][6]

Judicial suspension

The Michigan Supreme Court ordered Nebel suspended without pay for 90 days commencing in February of 2010. He was found to have violated the state’s code of judicial conduct when he was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence in July 2009.[7][8][9]
