Shattuck ran in the 2012 election for North Dakota State House District 6. Shattuck and incumbent Bob Hunskor ran unopposed in the Democratic primary on June 12. She and Myron Hanson were defeated by Dick Anderson and Bob Hunskor in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[1][2]
