Connie Lee Johnston is a judge of the San Juan County Magistrate Court in New Mexico. She was appointed to this position by Governor Susana Martinez on August 15, 2014. Johnston ran unopposed for election to the position in November 2014. Her current term expires in 2018.[1]

Johnston ran for election to the San Juan County Magistrate Court.
Primary: She was successful in the Republican primary on June 3, 2014, receiving 28.2 percent of the vote. She competed against Jonny Brown, Stacey D. Biel, Gary McDaniel, Mike R. Fauteaux, Patrick R. Otero, and Brent D. Byrum.
General: She was unopposed in the general election on November 4, 2014. [2][3] 

Education

Johnston received an associate degree from San Juan College.[4]

Career

Johnston spent approximately ten years as a detective with the San Juan County Sheriff's Office before she was appointed to the magistrate court in 2014. She has also worked at the Farmington Police Department.[4][1]
