David E. Carey is a judge for the Maryland Ninth District Court. It serves Harford County in Maryland.[1] He was appointed to the court on October 17, 2013 by Governor Martin O'Malley to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge John L. Dunnigan.[2]

Carey received his undergraduate degree from the College of Wooster in 1986 and his J.D. from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 1989.[3]
