Deborah J. Gubin (Democratic Party) was a judge for the 8th Subcircuit of the Cook County Judicial Circuit Court in Illinois. She left office on December 3, 2018.

Gubin ran for re-election for the 8th Subcircuit judge of the Cook County Judicial Circuit Court in Illinois. She did not appear on the ballot for the retention election on November 6, 2018.

She was appointed to this position on March 4, 2010. She was elected to a full term in 2012 to replace Maureen Durkin Roy.[1][2][3]

Education

Gubin received her B.A. degree (Political Science) from Eastern Michigan University in 1970 and her J.D. degree from The John Marshall Law School in 1975.[2]

Gubin filed for retention, but withdrew before the general election.

2012

Gubin was elected without opposition on Nov. 6, 2012. She previously won the Democratic primary on March 20, 2012, receiving 54.07 percent of the vote.[3][4][5]
