Deer Valley Unified School District Question 2 was on the ballot as a referral in Deer Valley Unified School District on November 4, 2025. It was approved.

A "yes" vote supported allowing the Deer Valley Unified School District to sell all or part of a property measuring 19 acres in the West Wing Mountain Area to fund the purchase of school sites and vehicles, construction and furnishing of buildings, and any other permitted expense. 

A "no" vote opposed allowing the Deer Valley Unified School District to sell all or part of a property measuring 19 acres in the West Wing Mountain Area to fund the purchase of school sites and vehicles, construction and furnishing of buildings, and any other permitted expense. 


A simple majority was required to approve the measure.

Ballot title

The ballot title for Question 2 was as follows:

Shall the Governing Board of Deer Valley Unified School District No. 97 of Maricopa County, Arizona, be authorized to sell, lease or exchange the following described parcel of real property, or any portion thereof, and use all or a portion of any such proceeds of any such sale, lease or exchange to purchase school sites and/or to construct, improve, equip and furnish school buildings, including technology, to purchase student transportation vehicles and/or any other permitted capital expenditure? The real property is described as follows:

Parcel: 

Site located northwest of Happy Valley Road and 83rd Avenue in Peoria, Arizona, known as the West Wing Mountain area (approximately 19.062 acres).

Legal Description for Assessor Parcel Number 201-06-089C: 

A parcel of land lying within Section 3, Township 4 North, Range 1 East, of the Gila and Salt River Meridian, Maricopa County, Arizona, more particularly described as follows;

COMMENCING at the Southeast corner of Government Lot 20 of said Section 3, said point  also being the Southeast corner of said Section 3, said point being the POINT OF BEGINNING of the herein described parcel;

THENCE along the Southerly line of said Lot 20, and the South line of said Section 3, North 89 degrees 11 minutes 28 seconds West, a distance of 681.00 feet to the Southwest corner of said Lot 20;

THENCE leaving said Southerly line and said South line, along the Westerly line of said Lot 20, North 03 degrees 51 minutes 26 seconds West, a distance of 379.69 feet; 

THENCE North 83 degrees 07 minutes 28 seconds West, a distance of 307.65 feet;

THENCE North 06 degrees 50 minutes 58 seconds East, a distance of 539.94 feet;

THENCE leaving said Westerly line, North 88 degrees 21 minutes 29 seconds East, a distance of 919.59 feet, to the Easterly line of said Lot 20 and the East line of said Section 3;

THENCE along the said Easterly line and said East line, South 01 degrees 38 minutes 31 seconds East, a distance of 988.11 feet, to the POINT OF BEGINNING.
