Diana L. Embil
Diana L. Embil was a judge of the Cook County 15th Subcircuit in Illinois. She was appointed by the Illinois Supreme Court on November 12, 2012, effective February 25, 2013.[1] She unsuccessfully ran for election to the Cook County 15th Subcircuit in 2014 and left the bench when her term expired on December 1, 2014.[2][3]

Embil ran for election to the Cook County 15th Subcircuit.
Primary: She was defeated in the Democratic primary on March 18, 2014, receiving 40.8 percent of the vote. She competed against Patrick Kevin Coughlin and John S. Fotopoulos.

Education
Embil earned her J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 1985.[5]
Career
Prior to serving her judicial appointment in 2013, Embil was an associate regional counsel for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in Chicago. She also has experience as a law clerk for Supreme Court Justice Charles E. Freeman and former Appellate Court Judge R. Eugene Pincham.[5]
