Douglas L. Gummo is a judge for the Huntingdon County Magisterial District. He was first elected in 2007.[1] He was re-elected in November 2013 for a term that will expire in 2019.[2]

Judge pays fine, apologizes for drunken behavior
In early April 2011, Gummo was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct, public drunkenness and harassment after allegedly knocking repeatedly and trying to enter a female judge's hotel room. According to a police report, he was found intoxicated and wearing only a bed sheet at the time of arrest. This alleged incident occurred at the Radisson Penn hotel while a number of magisterial judges were attending a legal conference in Harrisburg. Gummo was not formally suspended, but his workload was temporarily transferred to other judges after the incident.[3]
The following June, prosecutors dropped the charges of public drunkenness and disorderly conduct after the judge was fined $438 for the harassment charge. Gummo also apologized to the court and the victim.[4]
