Elizabeth Whitefield
Elizabeth Whitefield is a former district court judge in the Second Judicial District of New Mexico.[1] She was appointed to the court in August 2007 by Governor Bill Richardson.[2] She was retained in 2008 and 2014.[3][4] Whitefield retired from the court on October 1, 2016.[5]
Biography
Whitefield received both her undergraduate degree and J.D. from the University of New Mexico.[6] Prior to her appointment to the bench, Whitefield was a partner at Keleher & McLeod.[2]
Elections
2014
Whitefield was retained to the 2nd District Court with 74.4 percent of the vote on November 4, 2014. [4]
Judicial performance evaluation
The New Mexico Judicial Performance Evaluation Commission recommended that Judge Whitefield be retained. The full report is available here.
