Elma A. Bellini is a judge for the 7th Judicial District Supreme Court in Monroe County, New York. She was elected in 2008 and took office early the following year.[1][2]
Education
Bellini received her J.D. degree from the Syracuse University College of Law in 1986.[1]
Career
Bellini began her career in 1989 as an Assistant Public Defender. In 1999, she became a confidential law clerk to the Chief Administrative Judge of New York. She also worked as an arbitration administrator. The following year, she served briefly as a special matrimonial referee before she was appointed to the Monroe County Court. She served on that court until 2008 and was an Acting Supreme Court Justice from 2004 to 2008. In 2009, she took office on the 7th Judicial District Supreme Court.[1]
