On his campaign website, Berg stated:

I want to bring my conservative philosophy, experience, decisiveness, and temperament to the office. I will be a full-time judge, dedicated to, and respectful of, the position entrusted to me. I will bring a new energy, enthusiasm, and objectivity to the bench. I will apply the law evenly and fairly, with the practical wisdom of my diverse legal background. I will always be mindful that the position is not an entitlement, but is held in trust, granted by the people.[3][4]
