Erin L. Oquin
Ballotpedia provides comprehensive election coverage of the 100 largest cities in America by population as well as mayoral, city council, and district attorney election coverage in state capitals outside of the 100 largest cities. This judge is outside of that coverage scope and does not receive scheduled updates.
Erin L. Oquin was an Oklahoma special district court judge for Rogers County, which is located in District 12 of the 26 Oklahoma District Courts.[1] She was appointed in 2003. 2013 marked the end of her judicial position. Oquin stated that she stepped down in order to run for District Attorney. However, Judge Dynda R. Post and Judge Terry H. McBride say that she was fired for reasons that are not related to her 2014 DA campaign.[2][3]
Education
Oquin received her undergraduate degree from the University of Oklahoma. She graduated from the University of Tulsa in 1993 with her J.D.[2][4]
Career
Prior to becoming a judge, Oquin spent two years as a public defender. Before that, she worked as an attorney in a private practice.[2]
