Timmons was previously a 2016 Democratic candidate for Hillsborough 29 of the New Hampshire House of Representatives.

Four of nine seats on the Nashua School District Board of Education in New Hampshire were up for at-large general election on November 7, 2017. Three incumbents filed for re-election. Incumbent Dotty Oden and candidates Heather Raymond, Ray Guarino, and Gloria Timmons defeated incumbents George Farrington and Sandra Ziehm and challengers Haley Goodspeed, Burton Janz, and Jamila Scales.[1][2]
