Gravenstein Union School District parcel tax, Measure I (June 2008)
A Gravenstein Union School District parcel tax, Measure I ballot question was on the June 3, 2008 ballot for voters in the Gravenstein Union School District in Sonoma County, California, where it was defeated.
If Measure I had been approved, it would have imposed a parcel tax of $45.00 for eight years starting July 1, 2008.
A two-thirds (66.67%) vote was required for approval.
On March 3, 2009, slightly less than a year after the defeat of Measure I, voters in the district were asked to approve a similar parcel tax increase measure, Measure A. Voters, however, defeated Measure A just as they had defeated Measure I. Measure A asked for a tax increase of $36/parcel, slightly less than the $45/parcel request in 2008's Measure I.
Voters in the district had previously rejected Measure D, a $36/year parcel tax request; it was on the March 8, 2005 ballot.
On the November 6, 2012, ballot, voters in the district approved Measure M, a $6 million bond proposition.
