My name is JaMelle Hill, I am a working class mother who was born and raised in Middle Georgia. I wasn't born into a wealthy, powerful family and didn't allow socioeconomic disparity to determine my success in life.

Like you I am hard-working for my family and community; want good schools for our children; support better pay for our teachers healthcare and other essential workers; believe in an affordable healthcare system; and will continue to actively support good jobs for every citizen in every county of District 2.

  • We, the people, have the power!
  • No second class citizens means livable wages.
  • Education, Health, & Justice Reform
I believe that we must take a wholistic approach when addressing issues through public policy. Through the utilization of science and technology we will continue to make educated and informed decisions that guide public policy and achieve desired outcomes.
I look up to my grandmother, Mrs. Birdie "Bertha" Hill.
She is the epitome of courage, strength and grace. It is important that not matter the obstacles in life, one must find the courage and strength to move forward with grace.
My first job was as a waitress at New Perry Hotel in Perry, Georgia. Three generations of my family have worked there.
The House has the power to give every American a chance at achieving the American dream through the introduction of legislation that supports our communities, builds our infrastructure and military, while ensuring citizens have access to gainful emplpunnet.
I believe it is most beneficial for representatives to make decisions that benefit their constituents. This is achieved by being educated, informed and capable of critical thinking.
There is power in unity! When we come together as Americans, our country shows its strength and might. That is what we must achieve over the next decade. Our communities will grow and families will thrive.
