Grievance filing

Justin was accused of: dismissing traffic tickets for himself, family and staff; altering information to be sent the Secretary of State, dismissing cases without a hearing or the prosecutor, ignoring plea agreements, and making false statements under oath.[3]

On Monday, July 19, Chief District Judge Darryl Mazur asked Justin to remove himself from the Twelfth District Court bench. On that day, the Michigan Supreme Court granted the tenure commission’s request to suspend the judge. The suspension will remain in effect until further order from the court.[4]

Retired District Judge Pamela McCabe, who presided over a week long judicial misconduct hearing for Justin in January of 2011, issued a 26-page report on the judge's wrongful behavior to the Judicial Tenure Commission on March 24th. The Judicial Tenure Commission recommended the Michigan Supreme Court to remove Judge Justin from office.[5][6]

The Supreme Court hearing occurred on October 5, 2011[7] and the court issued a ruling, removing Justin from office on January 27, 2012.[2]
