Jasper Armstrong was a candidate for an at-large seat on the Aurora Public Schools Board of Education in Colorado. He was defeated by four other candidates on November 5, 2013.

Armstrong graduated from Eagle-Crest High School and later attended Colorado State University. He worked as a special education teacher at Grandview High School for seven years. At the time of his candidacy, Armstrong was working as a youth intervention specialist at Overland High School in the Cherry Creek School District.[1]

Armstrong reported $2,300.00 in contributions and $1,421.98 in expenditures to the Colorado Secretary of State, which left his campaign with $878.02 on hand.[2]

The Aurora Sentinel endorsed Armstrong on October 24, 2013.[3]

In an interview with The Denver Post, Armstrong explained his reasons for running in 2013:[1]

I want my (students) to be in a school district that will serve them a high-quality education and provide for their future...One way we can do that is an emphasis on early childhood education. The earlier we teach them to love learning, the longer they stay in the school system.[4]
