Kent earned an undergraduate degree from Southern University.

Career

At the time of her candidacy, Kent worked with the East Feliciana Parish School Board as a transportation support supervisor. She also has experience as an auxillary police officer for the Town of Clinton, a reserve deputy for East Feliciana Parish, and a school bus driver instructor for the Louisiana State Department of Education.
