Karen A. Romeo

Karen Ann Romeo is a judge on the 5th District Court in Colorado. She was initally appointed to this position in 2008 by Gov. Bill Ritter (D) and won retention to a full six-year term in 2010. Romeo won retention again in the general election on November 8, 2016.
Biography
Romeo, a Colorado native, graduated from the University of Colorado and received her law degree from the Thomas M. Cooley School of Law in Michigan. She began her career as a law clerk for Judge Perricone of Jefferson County. In 1997, she joined the District Attorney's Office of the 5th Judicial District, where she eventually became a chief deputy and an assistant district attorney.[1]
