Kloppenburg will not challenge recount results
May 31, 2011
Wisconsin: On the last day she could have challenged the results of the statewide recount for the Wisconsin Supreme Court election, JoAnne Kloppenburg announced that she will not challenge the results. That decision brings an end to a race that occurred on April 5th. At a press conference today, she said, "David Prosser has won this election and I congratulate him."[1]
The recount was made official by the Government Accountability Board one week ago. At that time, cast votes concluded that incumbent David Prosser won the close race by 7,004 votes. He has been re-elected to another 10-year term.[1]
