Ottley began her career in 1998 as an attorney of the Law Office of Anne Jaffe in New York City. She then worked as an associate court attorney to Civil Court Judge Alice Fisher Rubin from 2000 until her judicial election in 2008. Ottley became a New York City Civil Court judge in 2009.[1]
