List of potential Chief Justices sent to Governor Lingle

Hawaii: Nominees to replace retiring Ronald Moon have been announced by the state's Judicial Selection Commission. From here, Governor Linda Lingle has 30 days to choose a new Chief Justice for the Hawaii Supreme Court.
The nominees are:
- Mark Recktenwald, of the Hawaii Supreme Court
- Craig Nakamura, chief judge of the Hawaii Intermediate Court of Appeals
- Daniel Foley, judge on the Hawaii Intermediate Court of Appeals
- Katherine Leonard, judge on the Hawaii Intermediate Court of Appeals
- Bert I. Ayabe, judge on the O'ahu First Circuit Court
- Richard W. Pollack, judge on the O'ahu First Circuit Court
Currently, the Governor is accepting public feedback until July 12. After Lingle makes her selection, the nominee must be confirmed by the Hawaii Senate.[1]
