Maria Bocanegra (independent) was a member of the Illinois Commerce Commission. She assumed office in 2019. She left office on January 16, 2023.

She was appointed to the position by Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker (D) on April 9, 2019.[1]

At the time of Bocanegra's appointment in 2019, state law stipulated that no more than three members of the five-member commission could be from the same political party. Bocanegra was listed as an independent on the ICC appointments section of appointments.illinois.gov.[2]
