Mark Betters

Mark Betters is a judge of the Fifth Judicial District for Blue Earth County, Minnesota. He was appointed by Gov. Mark Dayton (D) on January 26, 2017, to fill a vacant referee position that was converted to a district court judgeship. He was sworn in on March 16, 2017.[1][2]
Biography
Betters earned his B.A. from the University of Wisconsin, Stevens Point, and his J.D. from the Mitchell Hamline School of Law.[1]
At the time of his appointment in 2017, Betters was a shareholder and the president of Betters Wienandt Attorneys at Law. His professional experience also includes work as an attorney at Manahan Bluth Law Office and a public defender for the Fifth Judicial District. He has served as a pro bono attorney, a member investigator of the Sixth District Ethics Committee, and a volunteer for the family drug court legal clinic.[1]
