May 6 was the 5th date in 2014 for local ballot measure elections in California.
This election featured six school district parcel taxes, which were all approved. Voters also saw a healthcare district parcel tax, which was an attempt by the West Contra Costa Healthcare district to save the floundering Doctors Medical Center hospital located in the city of San Pablo. It failed.
