Two seats on the Mehlville School District Board of Education were up for general election on April 7, 2015.
The seats of incumbents Kathleen Eardley and Ron Fedorchak were up for election.[1] Fedorchak, Lisa Dorsey, Kyle Haubrich and James McCary Murphy competed for the two at-large seats. Eardley did not file for re-election. Dorsey and Murphy defeated the other two candidates to win the election.

Mehlville School District is located in east-central Missouri in St. Louis County. The county seat is Clayton. This county is home to 1,001,444 residents, according to the United States Census Bureau.[2] In the 2011-2012 school year, Mehlville School District was the 19th-largest school district in Missouri and served 10,967 students.[3]
Demographics
St. Louis County outperformed the rest of Missouri in terms of higher education achievement in 2013. The United States Census Bureau found that 40.6 percent of county residents aged 25 years and older had attained a bachelor's degree, compared to 26.2 percent for Missouri as a whole. The median household income in St. Louis County was $58,910, compared to $47,380 for the state of Missouri. The poverty rate was 10.9 percent, compared to 15.5 percent for the entire state.[2]

Voter and candidate information
The Mehlville Board of Education consists of seven members elected at-large to three-year terms. There was no primary election, and the general election was held on April 7, 2015. Two seats were up for election in 2015.[1]
School board candidates had to file with their county elections department during the candidate filing period, which began on December 16, 2014, and ended on January 20, 2015. To vote in the 2015 general election, residents had to register by March 11, 2015. The absentee voting deadline was on April 1, 2015.[5]

Endorsements
Lisa Dorsey and James McCary Murphy received endorsements from the local affiliate of the Missouri National Education Association.[6] Murphy and incumbent Ron Fedorchak also received endorsements from the South County Labor Club of the AFL-CIO COPE.[7]
Dorsey and Fedorchak also received endorsements from Call Newspapers, and Fedorchak was endorsed by Mehlville school board member Samantha Stormer.[8][9]
Kyle Haubrich received endorsements from the Concord Lemay Township Republican Club, the Tesson Ferry Township Republican Club, the Missouri Coalition Against Common Core and former Mehlville school board member Mark Stoner.[10]
