Michael E. Brandt
Michael E. Brandt was a resident judge of the Tenth Circuit Court in Illinois. He served in Peoria, Illinois.[1] He was appointed to the court in 1993 as an associate judge and was elected a circuit judge in 1998. Brandt was most recently retained in 2010. He also served as chief judge of the Tenth Circuit Court from 2011 to 2013.[2] Brandt retired from the court on December 12, 2014.[3]
Education
Brandt received his B.A. degree from the University of Illinois and his J.D. degree from the John Marshall Law School. He was admitted to the bar in 1976.[4]
Career
Prior to joining the bench, Brandt worked as an assistant state's attorney in Peoria County. He also worked as an attorney in private practice and as an assistant public defender.[3]
