Neil N. Jasey
Neil N. Jasey was a judge for the Family Division of the Vicinage 5 Superior Court in New Jersey. The court presides over Essex County.[1] He was nominated to the court by Governor Chris Christie and confirmed by the New Jersey State Senate on August 18, 2014.[2] Jasey served until 2021 and was not reappointed to another term, and he retired from the court.[3]
Education
Jasey received his undergraduate degree from Princeton University and his J.D. degree from the Columbia University School of Law.[4]
Career
Before his confirmation to the court, Jasey served as the commissioner for New Jersey's Department of Banking and Insurance from 2009 to 2010. He had previously a long career (from 1975 to 2004) with the Prudential Insurance Company, eventually becoming its deputy general counsel and vice president.[4]
