The New York Loans for Housing Facilities, Amendment 6, also known as Proposed Amendment No. 6, was on the ballot in New York on November 2, 1965, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was defeated. This measure would have amended Article 18, Section 2 of the Constitution. It extended the "authority of state and municipalities to make loans and grant power of eminent domain to partnerships, trusts and corporations engaged in providing housing facilities."[1]
