The New York Publishing of Proposed Amendments, Amendment 7, also known as Proposed Amendment No. 7, was on the ballot in New York on November 2, 1965, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was defeated. This measure would have amended Article 19, Section 1 of the Constitution. It would have provided that "proposed amendments to the Constitution adopted by a session of the legislature and referred to the next regular session shall be published for three months previous to the next succeeding general election preceding such session."[1]
