The New York Salary of Legislature Members, Amendment 3, also known as Proposed Amendment No. 3, was on the ballot in New York on November 4, 1947, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. This amendment permitted members of the legislature to receive a fixed salary by law It also deleted a provision of Constitution that fixed the annual salary at legislators at $2,500.[1]
