Obama nominates three to the District of Columbia Superior Court

Washington, D.C.: On July 11, 2011 President Obama made three nominations to the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. They are: Danya Ariel Dayson, an attorney with the firm of O’Toole, Rothwell, Nassau & Steinbach; Peter Arno Krauthamer, the Deputy Director for the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia; and John McCabe, a Magistrate Judge on the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. Dayson was nominated to fill retired Justice Stephanie Duncan-Peters's seat, Krauthamer was nominated to fill retired Justice John H. Bayly, Jr.'s seat, and McCabe was nominated to fill James E. Boasberg's seat, who was elevated to the United States District Court for the District of Columbia in March of 2011.[1]
Obama commented on the nominations saying, "Throughout their careers these individuals have shown a commitment to justice and public service. I am proud to nominate them to the Superior Court of the District of Columbia."[2]
