Allen is an online school teacher and previously worked at the Cornell School District. She has bachelor's degree in education with a broad field social studies major and certifications for learning disabilities and behavioral disorders. She also worked in the private sector at supercomputer manufacturer Cray, Inc.[1]

Two of the seven seats on the Chippewa Falls Area School District Board of Education in Wisconsin were up for at-large general election on April 3, 2018. Incumbent Staish Buchner did not file for re-election, leaving one open seat. Newcomers Sharon McIlquham and Steven Olson defeated incumbent Pat Allen and candidate Ross Spitz.[2][3]

My experience in the field of education along with my experience in the private sector for Cray Research gives me a broad base of knowledge not only in educational leadership but also in business matters. I also have six years of experience serving on the school board. My deep caring and concern for the children and all stakeholders in the District make me uniquely qualified to be a member of the Board.[4][5]
