As a nearly lifelong Toledoan, I believe in Toledo and have a lot of passion and experience regarding our community. That passion and experience extends to our education system and I know the huge importance of policies and decisions affecting our schools. I am a local nonprofit attorney who works with human trafficking victims and I have extensive experience working with people of vastly different backgrounds and demographics. I spent a lot of time in numerous industries, from law firms to nonprofits to academic realms to multiple corners of the service industry cultivating my knowledge and perspective. I understand many of the issues facing our community, but recognize the limits of my own perspective. As such, I am dedicated to listening to the perspectives and experiences of others to ensure my decisions are are well-informed. As an attorney, I understand the importance of even the most subtle aspects of policy, and I approach this position with all seriousness and dedication. I know I can positively impact Washington Local Schools as a member on its school board and I would be grateful for the opportunity to do so.
  • I support programming such as apprenticeship programs for those seeking a future in the trades, as well as programming to better equip our students for life after graduation.
  • I care about supporting students from all backgrounds and paths, as well as giving teachers and personnel the tools they need to continue and improve the strong reputation of WLS
  • As a lawyer, I know the importance of even the most subtle parts of policy and I will carefully but skillfully address decisions affecting policy accordingly. Likewise, I will utilize the skills I have acquired in negotiating, collaborating, and otherwise working with others to ensure any existing needs are met.
I am particularly concerned with the social, economic, familial, and other types of needs that impact each person and the path they take. Whether we are talking about financial instability, developmental disabilities, prejudice, inaccessibility, or the many many other issues that affect different people, I'm passionate about addressing these needs in the course of developing policy to improve our communities and the lives of each person within them.
