The Rhode Island Environmental Response Fund, Proposal 8 was on the ballot in Rhode Island on November 6, 1984, as a legislatively referred bond question. It was approved. The measure authorized up to $5 million in bonds for the Environmental Response Fund with the purpose of studying hazardous waste sites.[1]
