Richard A. Weis was a judge of the Hillsborough County Court in Florida. He left office on January 7, 2025.

Weis won re-election for judge of the Hillsborough County Court in Florida outright after the general election on November 6, 2018, was canceled.

Biography

Education

Weis received his undergraduate degree from the University of Tampa and his J.D. degree from the Stetson University College of Law.[1]

Career

Weis is a former private practice attorney and senior appellate attorney for the Florida Department of Transportation. From 2005 until his judicial appointment in 2009, he worked as a general magistrate in Hillsborough County.[1]

General election

The general election was canceled. Richard A. Weis (Nonpartisan) won without appearing on the ballot.

2012

Weis was unopposed and automatically re-elected following the Nov. 6, 2012 general election.[2][3]
