Campaign website

Wiese's campaign website stated the following:

Thoughts For The Future

If selected to return as the 4th district alderman on the Glendale Common Council, Richard would like to: Work with City Staff to identify areas where additional operational cost savings can be realized, such as sharing services with surrounding communities – i.e. – North Shore Fire Department, North Shore Municipal Court, North Shore Health Dept., etc., while not degrading the level of service that all of Glendale enjoys. Look for areas within the city that would benefit from redevelopment. Work with City Staff to try and draw higher-end dining options to Glendale. Continue to collaborate with Milwaukee County DOT and WisDOT to enhance crossing safety for drivers and pedestrians at Pierron Rd, Good Hope Rd., and Range Line Rd. as much as possible. Concentrate his efforts solely on City of Glendale issues. City governments are under growing pressure to deliver their required services while dealing with shrinking funding. Elected officials need to focus exclusively on working with City staff to achieve these goals while preserving the services that city residents expect, with as low an impact on the tax base as possible.
