Rick A. Mason

Rick A. Mason is a circuit judge of the Twelfth Judicial Circuit Court of Illinois. He was appointed to the court on April 13, 2017, to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Daniel J. Rozak. Mason took office on April 20, 2017, for a term expiring in December 2018. He said at the time of his appointment that he would not seek retention to the seat when his term expired.[1]
Mason is a former associate judge on the Twelfth Judicial Circuit Court, serving the court from November 2006 to January 2017. He returned from retirement to seek and accept appointment as a circuit court judge.[1]
Biography
Mason earned his bachelor's degree and his J.D. from Valparaiso University.[2]
Prior to joining the bench, Mason was in private practice, specializing in personal injury and worker's compensation cases.[2]
