Ross Leuning is a judge on the Minnesota Third Judicial District. He was appointed by Governor Mark Dayton in May 2011 and joined the court in August 2011.[1][2] He won election to the seat in 2012. His term expires in 2019.

Education

Leuning received his undergraduate degree from the University of South Dakota in 1983 and his J.D. from the University of Oregon School of Law in 1986.[1]

Career

In addition to his service in the U.S. Navy, Leuning has worked as an attorney in private practice. Immediately before joining the court, he was a Command Judge Advocate in the United States Navy in Iraq.[1]

Elections

2012

Leuning ran unopposed in the general election November 6, 2012.[3] He received 99.34% of the vote.[4]
