Ruben E. Pope was a 2013 judicial candidate for the Cleveland Municipal Court in Cuyahoga County, Ohio.[1] He died on April 10, 2014.[2]

Pope ran for election to the Cleveland Municipal Court.

General: He was defeated by Ed Wade, Jazmin G. Torres-Lugo, Annette Garner Butler, Michael D. Winston, and Scott Roger Hurley in the general election on November 5, 2013, after receiving 26.2 percent of the vote.

Pope received his undergraduate degree from Kenyon College and his J.D. from the Boston College Law School.[4][5]

Career

Pope served as a magistrate for the Cleveland Municipal Court Housing Division. He joined the court in 1995.[4][5]
