Sam Pope is the Division 1 judge of the Tenth Circuit in Arkansas. He has held the seat since 2003. He was re-elected to the Tenth Circuit on May 20, 2014 for a term expiring in 2020. Career

Suspension

The Judicial Discipline and Disability Commission recommended Judge Pope's suspension after an altercation between the judge and his wife's boyfriend at a Wal-Mart in Crossett, Arkansas.

On October 4, 2012, the Arkansas Supreme Court sentenced Judge Pope to a 30-day suspension, anger management counseling, and to write an apology letter.[10][11]
