February 12, 2019: Twenty-four percent (24%) of voters nationwide believe climate change is the most serious threat facing the United States today.[1] Sixty-two percent (62%) disagree and 15% are not sure.
A ScottRasmussen.com survey found that younger voters are much more alarmed than their elders. Forty-four percent (44%) of voters under 35 believe it’s the nation’s most serious threat. By contrast, only 12% of those over 50 see it that way.
Among all voters, 18% think the threat of climate change means we must give the federal government sweeping new powers to control the economy.[2]
