March 31, 2020: As of March 30, twenty-five (25) states have issued stay-at-home orders in response to the coronavirus. They go by a variety of names: shelter-in-place, stay-at-home, stay home, and stay safe.[1]

The details also vary from state-to-state, but all require the closure of nonessential businesses and a request for residents to stay home except for essential trips.

The 25 states are California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Vermont, Washington, West Virginia, and Wisconsin.
